Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Boomic ("the app", "we") handles. In short: the microphone and your songs are processed live on your device and are never uploaded by us. The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase, Unity Ads and Google Play Billing, which process limited technical data as described below.
Microphone and audio
Boomic needs the microphone permission to play your voice through the speaker, headphones or a Bluetooth device in real time. Audio is processed in memory on your phone and is not transmitted. Audio is stored only when you ask: when you tap REC (a recording of what the speaker plays) or record a message in Announce. These files are saved in the app's private storage on your device, can be deleted in the app, and are removed when you uninstall. If you choose Share or Save to Music, the file is handed to the app or folder you pick.
Songs for karaoke
When you pick a song, Android gives Boomic read access to that one file. It is decoded on your device to play through the speaker. Songs are never copied off your device or uploaded.
Typed announcements
Text you type in Announce is converted to speech by your phone's text-to-speech engine (for example Google Speech Services) and saved as an audio file in the app's private storage. We never receive this text. Your text-to-speech provider handles it under its own policy.
Data collected by third-party services

These providers process data under their own policies: Firebase, Unity, Google. We never sell your personal data.
Your choices
You can turn off usage statistics and personalised ads in Boomic › Settings › Privacy. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings. Boomic Pro removes all ads.
Permissions
- Microphone — to play your voice live and, only when you ask, to record.
- Notifications — to show that the microphone is live, with a button to turn it off.
- Foreground service (microphone) — so a live session keeps working with the screen off.
- Modify audio settings — to route sound to the earpiece, speaker, headphones or Bluetooth.
- Vibrate — haptic feedback.
- Internet — for ads, analytics and purchases. Audio is never sent over the network by Boomic.
Retention and deletion
Settings, recordings and messages are stored only on your device; uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them. Analytics data is kept by Firebase for up to 14 months. To request deletion of analytics data linked to your app instance, see Delete data.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
All data sent to the services above travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
